Edna L. Sheaffer

Edna L. Sheaffer, 89, formerly of Lancaster, died December 15, 2017 at Moravian Manor. Her wish was to go home for Christmas and be with her beloved late husband of 71 years, Amos L. Sheaffer, Jr.

She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. Edna was a member of Community United Methodist Church for many years.

Born in Strasburg Township, she was the daughter of the late Harry Harrison and Mable (Bodge) Hall.  She is survived by a son, Harry Hall Sheaffer of Lancaster; three daughters, Frances Louise Sheaffer of Akron, Mary Lou Kreider, of Lancaster, and Barbara Ann married to William Litzenberger of Ephrata, 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren. Edna was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lindsay Gorsuch and her siblings, Patrick Harry Hall, Harriet Bender, Lewis Hall, Robert Hall, Minnie Steely, Bertha Hall and Annie Keene.

There will be a viewing on Friday, December 22, 2017 from 12 Noon until 1 PM in Community United Methodist Church, 130 Tennyson Drive, Lancaster, Pa. the funeral is 1:00 PM with Pastor Harry L. Kaufhold, Jr. officiating. Interment to follow in Riverview Burial Park.

  1. so sorry, I fondly remember the visits to your family, with peachy. I remember my youngest daughter, Cherie, calling harry, penny as she couldn’t say henny. hope to see you around somewhere franie love to the whole family
