James B. Green

James B. “Jim” Green, 59, of Strasburg, died of natural causes in Venice, Florida, on Saturday, November 11, 2017. He was the husband of Kathleen B. “Kathy” (Borst) Green for over 37 years.

Jim was a graduate of Pequea Valley High School, Class of 1976. He worked as Operations Manager for MPC Industries.

He enjoyed going to the mountains, traveling and Philadelphia sports teams. Jim devoted his life to his wife, children and grandchildren.

He was a Mr. fix-it and loved helping others.

Born in West Chester, he was the son of Michiko (Yasaka) Green of Narvon and the late William D. Green. In addition to his wife Kathy, he is survived by his children; Elizabeth married to James Montague of Lititz, Pamela married to Michael Ford of Wake Forest, NC, Steven married to Bethany (Ammerman) Green of Strasburg and Julianne married to Adam Dommel of Lancaster; eight grandchildren; his siblings, Patricia Logue, Carol Wallace, Jeanette Graybill, Douglas Green, Cynthia Eberly and Mark Green.

There will be a viewing on Friday, November 17, 2017 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM in the Bachman Funeral Home, 7 South Decatur Street, Strasburg, PA. There will be a Celebration of Jim’s Life at 7:00 PM. Interment will be private.

  2. So sorry for this unexpected loss. I just had the pleasure of getting to know Jim at Thaddeus Stevens College’s Machine Tool Advisory Council meeting a couple days ago where Jim so kindly volunteered. We are deeply saddened. Our prayers and sympathies are with you all.

  3. I have great memories of Jim and the Green family from our neighborhood growing up along Cambridge Road, Narvon! Jim and I took a long bike trip to/from Hershey Park when we were teens. Sad to hear the news. God Bless the family.
