Miriam R. Stauffer

Miriam R. Stauffer, 90, formerly of New Providence, died Sunday, September 17, 2017 at QPRC. She was the wife of the late Clarence L. Stauffer, who died in 2000.

She was an active member of New Providence Church of God.

Miriam worked at various sewing factories, the Nickel Mines Store and several market stands.

She was a member of the Quarryville Independent Senior Citizens, Solanco Senior Center and the Merry Widows.

She enjoyed gardening and crafting, attending flea markets and garage sales.

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Catherine (Dickel) Lintner. Miriam is survived by her children, C. Elvin married to Ruth (Ferguson) Stauffer of Dallastown, Joyce E. Wagner of Lancaster and Glenn Stauffer of Ronks; six grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; a brother, Paul married to Judy Lintner of West Lampeter Township and two sisters, Mary Brandt of Mechanicsburg and Ruth Glass of East Lampeter Township. She was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Wiley and a daughter-in-law, Kathleen (Denlinger) Stauffer.

There will be a visitation on Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 10 until 11 AM in New Providence Church of God, 269 Cinder Road, New Providence, PA. The funeral is 11 AM in the church with Pastor Dwight Lefever officiating. Interment in Riverview Burial Park after the service.

  1. I knew Miriam for about 17 years or longer and she was and is a good friend and we had fun and went a lot of places. she will be missed a lot by all her friends and family.
