Rineer Obit

 

Betty H. Rineer, 90, formerly of Neffsville, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 5, 2017 at Brethren Village. She was the widow of Donald K. Rineer, who died in 2010.

Born in Quarryville, Betty was the daughter of Norman and Ethel (Rineer) Hackman. She was a graduate of the former West Lampeter High School where she served as class president.

Betty loved preparing holiday meals for her three brothers and their families. She enjoyed gardening, camping, traveling the United States and Europe, and trips to the hunting camp in Potter County, all with Don. Betty was a lifetime member of Otterbein United Methodist Church.

A homemaker, Betty later retired as bookkeeper for G & E Construction in Mountville.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude for the love and care provided by Betty Weaver and the staff of Brethren Village.

Betty is survived by her two sons; Ted Rineer of Lancaster and Tom Rineer of Lititz, a brother, Fred Hackman, of Willow Street, and her nieces and nephew. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by brothers Robert R. and Norman K. Hackman.

Burial in the Strasburg Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.
