James F. “Jim” Graybill, 86, of Paradise Township, died on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Jennersville Hospital. He was the husband of the late Janet (Metzler) Graybill, who died in 2007.

He served in the US Army during the Korean War. When he returned for the war, he worked as the town Blacksmith. He later went to work for Trojan Yacht Corporation. He retired from BJ Baldwin Electric.

He has a collection of 14 antique garden tractors and many hit-or-miss engines, that he restored and showed. He enjoyed woodworking and fixing things.

Born in Lancaster County, he was the son of the late David and Mary Louise (Zimmerman) Graybill. Jim is survived by a daughter, Gina L. Graybill of Holtwood; five grandchildren, Andrea, Nathaniel, Danielle and Dustin Kreider and Angela Schlagnhaufer; six great-grandchildren, Michaela, Alyssa, Graydon, Evan, Eva, Kira and Lucy; three sisters and a brother. Jim was preceded in death by a daughter, Ginger Kreider.

There will be a visitation on Monday, June 5, 2017 from 10:30 until 11:30 AM in Calvary Monument Bible Church, 1660 Mine Road, Paradise, PA. The funeral is 11:30 AM. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.

I am sending this for wayne,, he is very upset with pap’s death. pap always treated him like family, even when wayne wasn’t doing his best, pap never discrimated , never looked down on him. wayne wishes he could attend the services but does not want to affect people negatively he sends he love and condolences to the family

  2. saw pap in weis in kendig square one day I told him how wayne missed him I got a big smile out of him I told him how wayne will always remember them working on tractors together, pap told me he still had them good man we all loved him so sorry

  3. I’m sending my deepest condolences… I just found out! Jim had a very special place my heart the short time that I was his caregiver. He was a very smart and special man!! God Bless your family bc he definitely loved each and everyone of You!
