Jacob T. Harmer, 26, of Kirkwood, passed on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

With a smile that would light up a room and laughter that would make your ribs hurt, Jake was a genuinely good hearted young man that gave nothing but love.

Born in Delaware County, the son of Stephen Harmer of Kirkwood and Susan Ford and step-dad, Scott Clement, of Strasburg.  Survived by his siblings, Ryan, Shana, Stevie, Kyle, Pammy and Nicola; Paternal grandparents, Robert and Cecelia Harmer and his Maternal grandmother, Doris Peracchia; four nieces and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jake was a graduate of Solanco High School.

He loved riding motorcycle, dirt bikes and all of the great activities the outdoors provides. He lived each day as if it were his last.

There will be a Celebration of his Life on Monday, May 8, 2017 at 7:00 PM in the Bachman Funeral Home, 7 South Decatur street, Strasburg, PA. The family will greet friends from 5:30 until 7:00 PM.

  1. We are devastated about the loss of Jacob, even though we never knew him. But I certainly remember his dad, “Stevie” (I always remember him referred to like that) when I was young, growing up back in Pa. My aunt Ceilie & her daughters, Chickie, Pat & Janet, were amongst my favorites, because of coming down our house so often in Wildwood. I have sent out MANY PRAYER REQUESTS for Stephen, & ALL THE FAMILY. Your cousins in Calif. – Virginia (Ginny), Jay, David, Tina, Dale & Kyra

  2. We only knew Jake to be smiling and laughing. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and loved ones. Rest in peace Jake
